What should I wear to Winter Formal???

I have no idea what to wear! i'm going dress shopping this weekend, what should i choose? halter? tube? should i get a cute jacket to go over it? i already have black heels. should my hair be up or down? it's brown, wavy (slightly uncontrollable) and it's about 15 in. long (down to my belly button) i already have black heels...help!

you should get a strapless dress that is form fitting until your waist....a navy dress would be beautiful....with pearls or just silver jewelry....and you can wear black heels with it....you can just wear your jacket with it and take it off when you get there and just go or you could get a scarf or shawl type thing if you tend to get cold a lot...wear your hair down and slightly pinned back...
