If someone else shampoos your hair at a salon do you need to tip them--even if it isn't a forma

How much do you tip them and do you just include it in your stylist's tip or make a seperate one? I usually put her tip in a little envelope with her name on it after I've paid.

I try to tip them, but my stylist comes first. If I have cash, I will go and give it to the shampooer after I'm done. I usually include the stylist's tip in my check or CC purchase. I don't do very much, though... maybe $2, but my stylist is about 20% like a server in a restaurant.
