I need a simple semi-formal hair do for a dance. I have wavy brown hair thats about shoulder lenth. PLEASE HELP!!! An up-do please, Do not say "just leave it down or pony tail".

Do you want ideas for styles? Or how to do it? At the salons here on Long Island, they always tell you not tow wash your hair the day you get it done becuase that will hold better. And then they put the hair in a high ponytail and then take medium-sized strands and curl them with a curling iron and hairspray each one.

ok..put your hair up in a pony tail then take half or the hair and out that in pin up curls then take wuts left of it and curl those pieces and let it hang down..it looks really good when finished and takes just a little bit of time =] goodluck!!

Ok lets get started curl your hair. then when you curl it put alot of hair or gel after that keep your hair down and then put a head band on that matches what you're wearing dont be afraid to mess with your hair a bit sprinkle glitter in your hair. Its boring leaving your hair in a pony tail or down i'm asking the same Q and every body is saying put it in a pony tail or down
