When buying a pageant dress, what type and name brand should i look for? also, what should i don wit

i will be entering the pre-teen division for thenational american miss pageant. i'm really tall with brown hair that flows to my shoulders. what kind of dress do you think i should have? also, what should i do with my hair for formal wear, personal introduction, interview, and spokesmodel? if you have any kind of pageant tips, i would love to hear what you have to say! thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question, it really means a lot to me.

Ok girl, I do pageants all the time. A good brand name for a pageant dress is Jovani. If your in a pre-teen division, don't get anything that is not age appropriate. Don't get anything that is too low-cut in the front and don't get anything that has a huge slit in the front of it either. A kind of mermaid-style dress would be good for a pre-teen. It depends on the dress type to consider if you want to wear your hair up or down. I would suggest not to "stare down'' the judges look at them and look at the audience too. Well girl, I hope I could help you! If you have any more questions feel free to IM or email me. I want to know how you do! Good luck and have a nice night! :-)

Look for brands that are big, like Dolce %26amp; Gabbana, Coco Chanel, Burberry, just look for French names, France is probably the fashion world. Just put your hair up, into a bun, two braided buns, or something that goes with your dress.

Haha. I got a letter too! But i didn't join.

I hope you win! :] Dresses are just beautiful. Ah.

OK i'll answer ur question now. lol.

You should wear either a strapless dress or a dress with straps. Either one is fine. Whatever you like. You can wear a nice, simple necklace to go along with it, a bracelet is also good.

Don't do your hair in a really really fancy style because the judges want to see girls average-y and simple styles. Not like Debuatante-y. Too fancy will look like you cared too much.

Personal introduction, just keep it down, and interview, put it halfway up. The spokesmodel, put it in a ponytail. Simple. Yet easy shot at winning. Innocent and sweet to the judges. *wink wink* If they ask what is your ultimate wish say: world peace

because thats what most people want, isnt' it?

:) Hobbies: Writing, reading, talking on the phone, (some sporty activity) and say something about your charitywork.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!! I hope u win!

When I entered pageants, I actually won several pageants wearing a "little bo peep" costume that I bought after a holloween sale. FOR REAL!

It is definately not my taste but I was desperate because the one that my mom had hand made for me got destroyed by the neighbors cat (don't ask!) but for real the judges like that "sweet innocent look" when doing teen and child pageants so I would recommend looking for the big fluffy ruffly dress if you can.
