What do I wear to and do to my hair for my eighth grade semi formal?

I have no idea what to wear to my eighth grade dance! I don't want to look too dress or too dressed down. And I don't know what colors would look best on me. I also don't know what to do to my hair... I'm about 5'4 and I have uber think hair.. I'm a lot tanner than I am in this pic.. but I just thought I'd give an example! Please help, any ideas! Please!

Hair: Loose waves or curls.Leave it down because your hair looks great.Add some shine and de-frizz serum after washing your hair and some hairstyling spray to hold your hair in place.

Dress:Get a plain black dress or with some little pattern on it.Knee-length.Don't wear tights with the dress.Some ppl look horrible in those.

Accesories:Wear thick gold bangles and some dangly gold earings.Not those bright gold.Some bronzy-gold colour.Its in this season.

Make-up: Wear some shiny gloss.Dim-orange for gloss?

Depends on your accesories.get this perfume : True star gold by beyonce/tommy hilfiger.It stays on the whole night.

Shoes: Sleek,strappy heels.Don't wear ballet flats.

You're very cute! I think you should wear something green or pink. I'm not going to tell you exactly what to wear because I want you to use your imagination and play around with te idea. Who knows, you might even create a fusion of both the colors. ^_^

Let you hair down, but keep the loose curls, the suit you really nice!
