Desperate for a quick hairstyle for winter formal?

My winter formal is on Thursday at 6:30 and I have a music rehearsal until 6:00. So I need a quick hairstyle that I can do my self in less than ten minutes. I have shoulder length, very thick brown hair. And I have bangs that go to my eyebrows. Oh and also...my boyfriend owns absolutly no dress pants or dress shirts and he usually wears cargo pants....Does anyone have any ideas on what he can wear.

Definitely an "up-do" to create a formal look.

Best would be a french twist: you can check out videos online to see how. If you have any special decorative hair ornaments (sticks, pins, sparkling crystals), they will add immensely.

Or you could go the opposite, with a "sauvage" (wild) look. Wet, gel, scrunch, and don't brush or comb! Get it big and messy. Carry it off with attitude.

Just make it different than what you normally do.

And make sure you practice doing it when you have time, not just before the party.

Your boyfriend's clothes . . . he might be able to get away with just wearing black: jeans (though slacks would be better), shirt/sweater, jacket/blazer if possible. Since it's stuff that's not his style, try checking out Goodwill (or other charity second-hand stores). He can wear it one time only and re-donate.

a ponytail will do, maybe placed high on the back of ur head if ur hair is long enough. u might also want to grab hold of a few strands in front of ur ears and pull them loose.
