also, I'm going to a broadway show. OMG what do I do for that?! Easy because I STINK with hair

But my sister is doing my hair 4 the dance so any ideas P LE ASE!

An updo would be great (can be done even with shorter hair)

I guess it would depend a lot on what you would be wearing! If a short "retro" style dress then possibly a Half updo with a little bit of a "poof" in the front accented by a headband of sorts. If a long formal gown then possibly a do that is left down and curled or a full updo either in a bun with strands spiral curled around your head with some simple accent hair pieces such as stone studded (like fake diamonds or such) hair clip or glittered clippys to hold back the loose strands. Another elegant touch would be to ad those little diamond like twisty things that you twist into your hair, they add a little bit of flair and personality to any updo.
