I have short hair to a little below my chin, my bangs are kind of angled but long. We're going to the bowling alley so I want something cute but not over the top or formal. I really like this guy and so I want to look good but not like I spent hours on my looks.

You know what? Wear your hair like you always do. If you fuss with it and style it you are going to be concerned about it all night and not pay attention to your date like you should be doing. Hair distractions are not good.

Hard to answer without knowing the shape of your face. What looks good on one may look out of proportion on another. Hair style should accent the facial features without standing out.

you could push your bangs to the side, so it'll have a "falling look", where you can keep on tucking it behind your ear.. something like a "cute" gesture. hehe

or you could go for the i-don't-care-about-my-hairstyle-but-it-l... where you'd just tie your hair and let the loose hairs fall.:D
